Tribute to 5-25-08

May 25 2008 was the day my baby bother Mike married his wife Helene. I was not blogging at the time so I never posted some of my favorite pictures. In honor of their two year anniversary which is this weekend I'm posting some.

Memorial Day Weekend

Most people go out of town or to the beach for memorial day weekend. I however got to stay in town and work all weekend. I did run into a few people along the way...

I get to work and see Nate hanging out front smoking a butt.
I felt compelled to take a picture of him.

A good patriotic start for a holiday weekend.

Before work on sunday I stopped into the Franklin Cafe in southie to visit Pete.

He tends bar and his mustache kicks ass.


The delicious drink I'm having is a cucumber collins.


Jim is also patriotic with his PBR tall boy.

I wrapped up the weekend with Liz.
We went grabbed nom noms and a few drinks at Temple bar.

Laura and I went went to Coppa for dinner. I think I may have had an orgasm in my mouth. It was fanfreakingtastic!

Tuesday Boozeday

Tuesday boozeday started with me and B on the Lower Depths patio.

The only other people on the patio were these guys.

I love old day drinkers.

Snacking is a must on long drinking days.

Deconstructed nachos is a good way to go.


My favorite beer: alagash white.

We were joined throughout the day by a host of interesting characters...

Sunday funday

Sunday began with brunch at Highland Kitchen. The pancakes are delicious!

The LOST season finale was tonight and the whole crew gathered for the event. I will say it was rather underwhelming even though I cried my eyes out.

After looking through the pics I took in Colorado again, I feel like I didn't give these three a fair chance. Seeing the car in the pics gives you an interesting perspective.

My trip to Colorado was amazing! Thank you Kyle. I had such an awesome time. Getting some "fresh air" will do you good!


The sky is so big out there and seems to go on forever.

Took the redeye home. This view makes it a little easier to come back into Boston.

For dinner we went to an awesome sushi place called Kasa on Pearl St in Boulder.




Avocado rolls and seaweed salad, my favorite.


Kyle ordered ama ebi which is gross to me but apparently its delicious.
Also you can see the cutest sushi chef ever in the background!


Spicy tuna, cucumber, with avocado, not really my thing, but i tired.


Edamame, Spicy scallop n cucumber sushi, which i also tried.
